Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 and his well-known ballet Romeo and Juliet were created during the same period. Macao Orchestra has invited Japanese violinist Sayaka Shoji, winner of the Paganini Competition, to be the soloist for the concerto.
