Maestro Nikolay Lalov, active in the music scene in Portugal, will lead Macao Orchestra in a performance of three versatile symphonic masterpieces at a World Heritage Site. These include Brahms’ “Symphony No. 4” in a quaint style structure of past eras, yet laden with romantic passion; Weber’s “Clarinet Concerto No. 1”, conceived to highlight the rich variations of the instrument; and 20th century representative Portuguese composer Braga Santos’ “Staccato Brilhante”, which displays a virtuosic style. A fascinating concert against a unique backdrop.
