Mendelssohn: Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49

The German and Austrian composers of the Classical and Romantic periods can be considered the most proficient at chamber music. Using various combinations of instruments, they could create intimate chats between close friends or emotional dramas reflecting the many sorrows and joys of our world. Beethoven and Mendelssohn were indubitably the two masters of this genre. In this concert, our music friends will be treated with their Oboe Trio and Piano Trio. Come see how the string, woodwind and piano make each other shine brighter, and listen to how a young Beethoven and mature Mendelssohn communicate across time in these works.
