Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii (Nobu), who has been blind from birth, won the joint Gold Medalist of the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, an internationally sought-after musician who has touched countless fans with his sincere, passionate performances, is coming to Macao to present together with conductor Lio Kuokman and Macao Orchestra, Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff’s magnum opus for piano, Concerto No. 3 in D major, in an interpretation fully revealing his virtuoso skills and profound feelings. Macao Orchestra will also perform Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” (suite), extracted from the composer’s same-title ballet. The suite, lively and beautiful, and showing Tchaikovsky’s ever elegant, graceful style, is popular among any audience. A perfect piece to close this concert season.
