Klughardt: Schilflieder, Op. 28
Mendelssohn: Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49

German composer August Klughardt’s “Schilflieder” Five Fantasies Op. 28 for Oboe, Viola and Piano, evokes the beautiful rhymes of the forest’s atmosphere during a peaceful night. Felix Mendelssohn’s well-loved Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor for Flute, Cello and Piano, opens with two melodic movements that develop into the following third and fourth movements filled with optimism and enthusiasm making this masterpiece exude a tremendous romantic flavour. Excellent musicians from the Macao Orchestra will interpret these great works with the pianist Xie Yashungzi to create a wonderfully poetic and romantic evening of chamber music.
