Distinguished from string ensemble homogeneous timbre and similar acoustics, each instrument in a wind ensemble shows a different technique, timbre, and personality, just like the different characters on theatre stage. In this concert, we will see how the woodwind ensemble interprets Rossini’s operatic humor and Hindemith’s neoclassicism, and check out how Mozart, Verdi, Tchaikovsky and Piazzolla’s classics radiate charms with the metallic tone of the brass quintet. Stay tuned!
