“Overture to The School for Scandal” and the violin concerto of Samuel Barber, one of the most celebrated American composers of the 20th century, reveal the composer’s wit and sensitive mind, as well as novelty and touching melodies that characterize his music. Ultra-virtuosity presented by the composer’s violin concertos will certainly bring the audience boundless excitement. Renowned Israeli conductor Yoel Levi, besides conducting Macao Orchestra to perform one of his conducting classics, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, will also direct the orchestra, with violinist Mayumi Kanagawa, for an interpretation of the wonderful works by Barber. Indeed, a musical event of both romantic passion and distinct personality that will never disappoint!
