Swedish trombonist Christian Lindberg is one of the most acclaimed brass soloists in the world. He is also an accomplished performer, conductor and composer, involved in instrument research and development. His brilliant career is marked by numerous amazing records: he has helped customise over 18 original contemporary concertos, premiered over 200 musical pieces of various genres, released almost 70 records, received the Swedish royal medal Litteris et Artibus in 2004, and won ‘Artist of the Year’ in 2016 at the International Classical Music Awards. We are honoured to have him this season for what is sure to be a performance full of musical flair and masterful talent.
