The concert opens with the compact Rimsky Korsakov’s Overture to The Tsar’s Bride, a piece full of drama and tension.
Taiwan young conductor Chuang Tung-chieh, winner of Malko Competition in Copenhagen in 2015, directs the Macao Orchestra and talented Russian violinist Luka Faulisi in Overture to The Tsar’s Bride and Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61, respectively by Rimsky Korsakov and Saint-Saëns.The pieces are dazzling and beautiful in tone, presenting the essence of romantic music in all its splendor and magnificence.
Further, Symphony No. 5, composed by Jean Sibelius in 1915 drawing on the emerging trends in music at the turn of 20thcentury, shows its grandeur and magnificence. All in all, an ultimate experience in romantic symphony that you can’t miss!
