Virtuoso violinist Vadim Repin won the gold medal in the prestigious Wieniawski Competition at the age of 11 and has since developed himself into a world-renowned artist along the past three decades with his impeccable technique and passionate poetic performance. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of death of the German romantic composer Bruch, Music Director and Principal Conductor Lu Jia will be leading Macao Orchestra to perform together with Repin in the 2020/21 season opening concert, Bruch’s “Violin Concerto No. 1” and Saint-Saëns’s “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso”. The concert will also feature Rachmaninoff’s “Symphony No. 2”, kicking off the new season with a night of splendid and romantic classical music.
