Zhu Wukun
Starting as early as two, Zhu, a native of Chengdu in Sichuan, studied violin with Shen Yan and clarinet with Zhen Kai; his first teachers of bassoon in Chengdu were Yang Chengman and Yu Lidou. During his study at Minzu University of China in Beijing, he studied with teachers Dai Yunhua, Liu Zhigang, Zhu Yuanping, Liu Qi and Li Lansong. Later, he continued his studies abroad at the Zurich Music Conservatory under the guidance of Giorgio Mandolesi and Matthias Racz.
He has played at the Zürich Opera House, and served as a performer of China Philharmonic Orchestra and section assistant principal of the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra. In addition, he has been a guest performer for Orchestra de Paris on several occasions.
