Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto are some of celebrated classical music works. Napoléon Bonaparte’s life was taken as the blueprint of the “Eroica”, while the extensive first movement of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto also features the colours of heroism. Daishin Kashimoto, concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic and one of the most outstanding young violinists in Asia, was especially invited to be soloist.
