Reynald Parent

French Horn player. Born in 1975, Reynald Parent began his musical studies in Doullens Music School with Mr. Eric Brisse and Mr. Vincent Defurne.

Later he continued his studies at the Douai Regional Conservatory of Music with Mr Marc BARBIER and Mr Guy MOUY. He unanimously obtained a Horn Gold Medal in 1995.

After perfecting his skills with Jean Jacques Justafré, Reynald Parent was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in the class of André CAZALET where he obtain his “Diplôme de Formation Superieur” in 2000.

Reynald Parent will have the privilege of perfecting his skills with Jacques Deleplancque and enriching his orchestral experiences as guest musician with the National Symphony Orchestras of Toulouse,Lille , Picardie, Paris, the National France Orchestra, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Oshawa Durham Symphony Orchestra (Canada) culminating in his admission as principal horn to the Symphony Orchestras of Shanghai, Beijing, then to the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra between 2000 to 2018.

Holder of the State Diploma as a horn teacher, Reynald Parent was a horn teacher, chamber music teacher and head of the brass department at the China Conservatory between 2009 and 2013.

From September 2024, he joined the Macao Orchestra as a Hornist.
