Kyoko Burns

Kyoko Burns received her bachelor and master degrees from the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai), studied under professor Mineo Sugiki and Tomonori Sato. She was awarded the top prize at the 27th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, and first prize in the brass quintet category at the 10th Jeju International Brass and Percussion Competition.

Before joining Macao Orchestra, Kyoko was co-principal trumpet of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra from 2018 to 2022. She has performed as a guest with many orchestras in Japan and around Asia.
