Melody Wang( Associate Concertmaster )
Melody Wang started learning the violin at the age of four with her father and went to study at Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the age of ten. Later she moved to Australia where she was granted the Australian Citizenship under the distinguished talent category. Melody appeared as a soloist with major orchestras in Australia, China and America. Since the age of 17, she has awarded numerous awards including the third prize of Wieniawski International Violin Competition, the third prize of Novosibirsk International Violin Competition and the first prize of Kendall National Violin Competition. Since 2009, Melody has been appointed the associate concertmaster in the Macao Orchestra. Since then she was invited to give master classes in Hong Kong and Mainland China as well as teach at the Macao Conservatory. Lately she was invited to record and publish the Chinese music album with the renown composer, Mr He Zhanhao.
