Considered the most internationally renowned Korean pianist today, Son Yeol-Eum is noted for her powerful and emotionally charged performances. A winner at prestigious competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, she has collaborated with major ensembles and top conductors worldwide. This season, on the occasion of the 100th death anniversary of French composer Saint-Saëns, Macao Orchestra is honored to invite the talented young artist to co-present Saint-Saëns’ piano concerto on June 12. And, in this chamber concert, Son Yeol-Eum will team up with OM to present the beautifully melodic “Caprice on Danish and Russian Airs” by Saint-Saëns as well as German composer Brahms’ first chamber composition, “Piano Trio” in B Major.
