19th century Italian opera composer Verdi has been one of the most popular composers of the genre. In all he created 26 operas with rich themes and lifelike characters, vividly illustrating conflicts and love-hate relationships. To commemorate the 120th anniversary of his death, Macao Orchestra invites two noted Italian opera singers to present some of the master’s wonderful arias and duets, excerpted from “La Traviata”, “Aida”, “Othello” and “I vespri siciliani”, coupled with dramatically charged Verdi opera overtures and intermezzo, to ensure a perfect closing to the season that is both atmospherically appealing and emotionally infectious.
